 
Dr. Robert Gross is an honor graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and is
certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In addition, he is a Fellow of The American
College of Surgeons, and is certified for laser vision
correction by VisX.
Having been in private practice since 1982, Dr. Gross is also affiliated with North Shore University Hospital at Syosset, Long Island's premier cataract surgical center, and Advanced Vision of Long Island in Commack, which specializes in LASIK vision correction. He is Founding Director and Past President of New York SurgiVision, a Great Neck-based refractive surgical practice, and is a clinical instructor at the Nassau County Medical Center, teaching the residents cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Gross and Associates are pleased to specialize in the latest surgical and laser techniques for total eye care, including laser vision correction and no-stitch micro incision cataract surgery. Using the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, we perform most procedures right in our office, eliminating the need for costly hospital visits. Most importantly, we take a very specialized and individualized approach to our surgery, paying careful attention to the proper screening of surgical candidates and the skilled selection of instrumentation and procedures. This ensures that our patients achieve high visual outcomes with the greatest margins of safety available. Our office is conveniently located at 1400 Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh, New York, one mile south of the Southern State Parkway (for directions click here). Office hours are by appointment. However 24-hour emergency service is available seven days a week. Dr. Gross belongs to most HMO programs and is a participant in Medicare and most other insurance plans. |
